Fire Hydrant System
Fire Hydrant System is an effective and efficient means of extinguishing large fires which can otherwise cause devastation. Hydrant system enables the fire fighter to attack the seat of the fire from a distance. Hydrant valves are outlets for delivering water with tremendous pressure so as to quench the fire. With discreet use of special branch pipe the water under pressure can also be used as a “sheet” to push the smoke for entering a burning building.
Sprinkler System
The automatic sprinkler and fire alarm system shall be designed to extinguish a fire in its early stages by the use of water and simultaneously sounding an alarm to summon help. Pipework fitted with sprinklers at regular intervals is connected to a reliable water supply. Each sprinkler is an automatic heat sensitive valve, which opens independently in the event of fire to discharge water on the seat of the outbreak. Only the sprinkler or sprinklers affected by fire operate, and the opening of any one sprinkler immediately sounds an alarm.
High Velocity Water Sprayer System
The High Velocity Water Sprayer System extinguishes fires involving oils, or similar flammable liquids by the use of water only. The equipment consisting of pipes and projectors is permanently fixed around the plant to be protected and is usually automatically controlled for immediate operation in the event of fire.
Medium Velocity Water Sprayer System
The Medium Velocity Water Sprayer System is fixed pipe array designed to deluge water through a deluge valve onto special risks such as power generation equipment, flammable liquids, gas tanks and process plant. System operation can be initiated either manually or automatically by hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical detection system. In some circumstances (such as Liquefied Petroleum gas tanks) extinguishment is not always immediately desirable and in these cases control and containment is achieved by cooling using medium velocity sprayers. Medium velocity water spray nozzles are provided with the piping in the protected area. This acts as detection cum discharge line and water is always stored in the pipeline at stipulated pressure. In case of fire the quartzoid bulbs in the medium velocity spray nozzle breaks and water is discharged to the protected area.
